Ek Cutting Chai!!!

Taking a sip of tea at 12:10 in the night & thinking whether tea is going to be National Drink or not. But anyways what the duck… even if it become, it’s not going to change my life anyhow. After kicking up my many mornings & making up my evenings, ek blog chai ke liye to banta hai boss!!!

I wasn’t that huge fan of chai until college. There was noconcept of bed-tea or evening tea in my life. Chai at home would hardly be considered as Tea itself; I would rather call it milk-shake in ‘tea’ flavour. Seriously mom hardly takes water & never forgets to add extra dose of malai in it. We bring the milk from tabela so anyways there’s hardly any water in that too. So overall it’s complete milk-shake :p. The only time I use to drink tea at my home was in the morning with bhakhri.

Another 8th wonder of the tea-world is tea of my native village. It’s a tradition there to make tea whenever guest visits home. I took my chances & visited there once. *slurp* They must be getting special discount on sugar or they have sugar well like those arabs have oil wells. I remember that day when tea was served in full cup & saucer. I finished the cup (5th or 6th of the day) & after 10-15 minute when I tried lifting it up from saucer, it was stick to it so hard (due to extra (XXXL) sugar) that when I lifted the cup & saucer also followed. I survived my 1 week trip only on gandhiya, jalebi & chai at village & would never ever forget it.

*slurp* When I joined the college at nadiad, I always wondered why people enjoyed spending money for that milk-less tea. I still used to believe that the only best chai in the world was my mom’s milk-shake chai while these people were drinking fikki chai. Finally miracle happened. Bhupat, nadiad’s famous tea stall changed all my beliefs. Irresistible, addictive, tempting are the words for his tea. Whether its parle-g or magix, santram’s sada puff or panner puff, nothing went inside my tummy without his tea. Before exam, after exam, in the morning, in the evening it was MUST. *slurp* (no more slurp since tea is over now…)

Things changed but habit of tea-stall hasn’t changed yet. Cutting price increased from 2Rs to 6Rs & my daily dose 1-2 cup a day reached from 2-3 & than 3-4 & now finally upto 5-6 cups a day. Morning kick starts with an awesome jinger chai from bhakti. Another cup during breakfast, another 1 at office in the morning & few more in the evening. I decided to leave it many times, decided to cut down the count many times but arjun bhai & arun kept dragging me to the stall. Many times I see barista & CCD people *coughing* neat & clean idiots *coughing over*, sipping on cup of coffee. I watch them, watch them with pity in my eyes for them. But anyways let them show-off their high-class standards with their extra costly & boring coffee and you guys cheers on the kitli’s chai.

I don’t drink tea anymore because I am habitual to it or something, it’s just because I want to be there, want to have nice conversation with people there, want to do kaan-masti with Bhavin!!! I hope making it national drink doesn’t change it price :/

Jay ho cutting ki!!!

BTW bhakti is not around so all girls are invited for a cup of tea at my place. I promise I won’t disappoint you!! :p
*murmurs* ek garam chai ki pyali ho.. koi usko pilane vali ho....

Dhoom, dhishum & zoooom!!

terminator_the_game-805Dhum, dhum… dhooom.. Alpha down, I repeat, alpha down!! You might wonder who is ‘alpha’ or who is down! But don’t worry these are some of the words that leaves my blood chilled & thrilled.

First Experience is always unforgettable

I was 11, when I first put my fingers on the keyboard to shoot & jump around. I was studying at ‘gurukul’ in surat. There were 2 periods (oops, don’t take it wrong way, I’m talking about class periods) for computer subject. Thanks to our sir’s laziness we never learned anything beyond “GAME” ;) That was the first time I rocked in this field. I wish I could remember the name of the games. It was something jumping over those fires and shooting insects. Believe me I was best in that!!

Suddenly those rich bastards at ‘gurukul’ started bringing their own devices for internal pleasure. I guess ‘china market’ has pulled out many of those devices to play hand held games. Unfortunately I don’t remember name of those devices as well. (I wonder if it even had any name). I requested my dad to get one for me & looking at our financial situation, the request was rejected successfully, huh… !! I used to share my food with those ‘bastards’ to get a hand on the console.

While my trip to Ahmadabad from gurukul, I put my first step in game station. We used to sneak out from gurukul at late night (believe me It was like journey to the center of the world), to go to those game station to play ‘mario’ & ‘boxing’. 1Rs for 3 lives that was fucking costly for amateurs like me. Two guys got caught & that learning curve came to finish line. But by the time I had almost spent all my savings, 150Rs.

Game Hero

Coming back to home from that ‘gurukul’ jail, I was happiest!! Studying at ‘Swaminarayan vidhyalay’ @ surat  was easier than before. The only change I didn’t like was that they make us study in computer period (oh, not again). Eventually I & nitin used to sneak out during Sunday to fulfill our Game quotas. Game was same but the place & players have changed. Since I came here with lots of experience beating him was not that hard.

Then came those consoles with lots & lots games like Mario, Tank, Mario Bros, Aladdin, tomb raider etc. Unable to buy it, I used to go to neighbor’s place. The guy just got new console but didn’t know how to play so I became his savior. Spending 15-20 minutes sitting beside him I only used to get chance when he can’t go beyond his limit. It was still a hell lot of fun to me. When I heard from someone that there is game station available nearby, it became my favorite tourist spot. Spent my most of the time with other fat, smelly fellows in 10x10 cabin, education was ruined!!!!

Again I put forward my request for such console to dad & again it got rejected initially, damn!!! But then I used my secret weapon to get it. I cried!! Yah, A lot of cry, cry, cry!! & guess what, it worked. I got the console. I was feeling like Hero in my group. Champ of Mario ;) Before school, after school, before lunch & after lunch you would find me seating near our TV only.

East or West PC was the best.

Like all great histories, console history also came to an end. The new trend was highly configured computers for new FAwesome games. Mario was almost dead. The world was talking about nfs-2, call of duty & GTA vice city. Since there was no game station available for those games yet, the only place I could get to was a friend’s new computer. I remember sometimes I used to walk around 5 k.m. so that I can sit beside him and instruct him about how to shoot around & move on. It was so annoying but I was helpless.

Finally we bought a pc (although with pretty less configuration & guess what it still is running after those 11 long years). I still couldn’t install ‘GTA vice city’ on it. I was still happy with Aladdin, cricket 2000 (multiplayer with bro), Mummy returns, nfs & etc. I still remember cheating with brother while playing cricket games with multiplayer. I literally peed my pants while playing ‘mummy returns’ with turned off lights and headphone on full volume. I used play those games waking up 5/6 a.m. I also remember using blanket to cover pc & me to hide the PC light.

With time that PC craze was dying not because of interest but due to those FADU games adding up everyday & my pc couldn’t accommodate any of them. At the end PC dream also got ruined.

PSP Love

Do you believe in love at first site? I do. I started believing when I met the PSP first time psp_games@ surat. It was complete unintentional visit to a store which introduced me to ma’ love. So handy, portable & awesome ;) The good think this time was that I was able to buy it on my own since I started earning. It kept me busy like hell. ‘GAT-China town’, ‘Bomber man’, ‘DJ-fight’, ‘NFS Shift’, ‘Call of Duty’, ‘God of War’, ‘Medal of Honor’, ‘Ben-10’, ‘Virtual Tennis 3’ were the games I finished so far & they all were Fawesome.

I remember the day when my brother lost the PSP while visiting Rajkot. I cried a lot that night & didn’t talk with him for 1 day. Eventually it all ended up buying another psp. ;) I’m still crazy over it!!!

Back to PC life

asusicore7pc What goes around comes around!! PC days are back ;) Earning on your own comes really handy when you want to buy things that you love. This time, I got this most awaited AMD machine to convert my unused room into a ‘war room.’ ‘Dhay, dhay, dhay & boom, boom or zooooom…’ would be the only sound you would hear if you pass by the room. Just started with 2 games as of now. 1) Call of duty- black hops 2) NFS-Hot pursuit. I don’t think I would survive with these 24 hours a day stuff that god has arranged. Need at least 50 hours: 15 for games, 4 for tennis, 8 for sleep and 10 for work & rest for ‘honey’ (who will kill me if I’ll play any more games)!!!

I’m still away from amazing consoles available out there like wii, ps3, xbox. Anyone who is interested in donating one of them please contact my personal email. ;)

Day 3: Friday was FUNDOO day!!!

These positive things working pretty well for me so I think. I’m gonna make a habit. Planning to write another blog containing 3 positive things of the day. I’m searching for a name.. Any suggestion?

Anyways here are today’s 5 positive things happened to me.

Nice morning Jogging even without music.

Ahaa!!! When is the last time you had enjoyed ur time without any distraction? Distractions like music, movie, tv, internet etc. I know you probably will argue (like chaku does) that they are for pleasure and enjoyment only. No they are not. You won’t learn that unless you’ll leave it for a while. I’ve tried in last 2 months. Leaving news-paper (week), music(7 days), psp (5 days) etc etc.

Let your mind be free. Free of unnecessary noises & voices & infos for a while. Just give it a try… It’s baap of awesomeness… I had this same baap of awesomeness feeling in garden today when I finally ran for half n hour without earn plugs funcking in my ears.

Great day at office at end with bug fixing.

I felt I was screwed with these constant feedbacks from customer on the last moment. But then gave my 100% (though it came a little late in day) and resolved many issues. Night was beautiful after it.

Bataka paua…

That’s my favorite snack (which I’m getting in dinner now :D) . A smile suddenly was blinking on face when she told me that she’s made bataka paua in dinner. After positive office day, this was another reason for a very good evening.

FUNDOO time with honey at night.

Had fun full evening with baby. Laughed too much remembering old days.!!!!

Tea-time chit chat… with frnds.

It all started for fixing the trip for champaner but eventually ended up discussing “savita bhabhi” (my fav) with few friends. + mara smart joke to kharaj :D
5 Positive things happened with Chaki
      1. Finally my lession plans are complted and ready for submission.
      2. Had a great FUNDOO time with lavu at evening.
      3. It was mom’s b’day and I wished earlier than my Bro.
      4. Abhlu came early (8:30 is early now) today and had hell lot of time together. J
      5. Enjoyed my evening tv serial with tea.

Day 1: Kick start of Positivity

Oh!!! It wasn’t that tough to get 5 positive points for the day.

    Woke up early.

    image

Ya I know it may not be a big deal for some of you but its pretty important for me. Waking up just even little late, messes up with my complete schedule. My bed tea, poopy time, exercise/jogging schedule etc etc. I woke up from the bed in just one shot. Bolle to rock n roll at 6:25 a.m.

Spent half an hour for myself.

As soon as I get some I put myself into next task it can be anything, watching tv, game on psp, tv series, music or anything, which eventually left no time for myself. By myself here I mean to say for my SOUL. Watching tv, psp, music is to please your senses but spending quite moments with yourself is to please or recharge your soul.

    It’s very simple.

    • Sit relaxed on bed /lie down on bed.
    • Take deep breaths (should be done in 5 seconds) holding it for 20 seconds & then releasing it slowly (should be done in 10 seconds)
    • Feel your heart beat & count them to gain focus.
    • After continuing above for 10-15 minutes, try to gain focus on your thoughts.

THAT’S IT… Easy right? He he he!! Not so hurry buddy. It’s tough but must must must thing to do.

Fixed quite a few bugs today.

Office day was normal. I was able to fix many bugs for android release I’m having on Friday. Tomorrow is gonna be judgment day.

Number of પપ્પી got from chaku was around 50 only.

This may sound weird to some of you but yes number of પપ્પી I got from my HON was under 100 today (which happens quite rarely). Sometime I get fed up with her constant involvement/attack on my chicks. Chicks start shouting NO NO NO, but she’s like sehvag who once gets started can’t be stopped.

Stayed back home while I was supposed to go to office.

I didn’t want to make my Thursday dirty with lots of pending things to do, so I was thinking of coming late to office. At the last moment I’ve decided not to go there, spend time with HON (may be we’ll watch TERE BIN LADEN now). I’ll reach office early tomorrow. ;)

And ya it’s not necessary for you people to write as much as i’ve written regarding ur 5 + points. You can write it in સંક્ષેપ as chaki does.

    Positive points from Chaki.

    1. I was supposed to get my assignment signed by B.ED. faculty which was done in lunch time.
    2. Nice time with AB with morning, which eventually made me laugh even when I was walking alone in garden.
    3. This tooth pain was lower compare to yesterday.
    4. Day at school was good. Got 2 free lectures finally which I’m getting pretty rarely these days.
    5. I was able to take out 20-25 minutes for B.ED. reading.

Have a good night every one!!! See ya tomorrow with second positive day.

    5 days of positivity!!

Ya ya ya!! Some of you FUN loving ppl may not find this interesting, but yes, I’m gonna write about some experiments I’m doing these days.
Those who are living around me must have read me leaving outside food for month or quitting social n/wing for weeks, leaving news paper for a while etc etc.
The reason behind leaving these all items is
      1. Mind Control
      2. Check your power will.
I’ll write more about it in separate blog but today I’m starting one more thing for week, which is to indulge myself into the ‘pleasure of positivity’. I learned this technique from Shunty.
Although note that I’m not at all negative thinking person, I still wanted to give it a try to strengthen my thinking & guiding my followers (which don’t exist) on the same path.
      REMEMBER:
To get rid of Negativity your job is not to find your negative points, but to find every possible POSITIVE thing in your life.                                                             -Swami Abhishekanand.
The task is simple and easy. Write down 5 positive things happened to you in a day. It can be anything, any damn thing.. e.g.

    1. Reached home early from office. (Are u kidding!!)

    2. Won a carom game at office!!!

    3. Bought new clothes.
Nothing to lose here so every one of you can give it a try. Me and ‘My HON’ is starting it from tomorrow.
      ઓકે તો કાલે મળશું મારા અને તમારા હકારાત્મક વિચારો સાથે..  ત્યાં સુધી બધાને મારા "જય શ્રી કૃષ્ણ"

    Time Mgmt Tips...

Just when i come to Singapore i realize how important time management is, went pass by a tweet about bullets points for time manangement. Sharing them to share with others ;)

When you take control of your time, you take control of your life!
    • Start your day with a plan of action (make your to-do list the night before) (I've already started it here.)
    • Maintain balance in your life (I do)
    • Get enough sleep (I do)
    • Be flexible (I need to work on this)
    • Don’t be a perfectionist ( You kidding!! I'm not )
    • Reward yourself (I do)
    • Don’t waste waiting time (use this time wisely) (I do waste time in waiting.. So need to work on it.)
    • If you can’t sleep, don’t waste time lying in bed, get up and do something (learned from Dr. Wayne Dyer) (I liked this one.)
    • Plan more (I do)
    • Don’t waste time regretting your failures, just look ahead and be excited about the future. (I do)
    • Trust your instincts and believe in yourself. (I do)
    • Before you start a task, ask yourself WHY are you doing it, if your answer is not convincing, do something else! (Need to work on it)
    • Allow yourself to relax and do nothing for BRIEF periods, and don’t feel guilty about it. (I'm pro in this.)
    • PRIORITIZE your to-do-list (I do)
    • Focus on one day at a time (I do)
    • Live for the moment – DO IT NOW! (I don't! Need to work on it.)
    • Itemize, categorize, prioritize, crystallize… but just do it. Take action!
    • Never miss a chance to admire beautiful clouds or a rainbow. (The only thing i admire most is Beautyyyyyy..)
    Most Common Time Wasters:
    • Planning (lack of)
    • Priorities (lack of)
    • Telephone Interruptions
    • Disorganized/Cluttered Desk
    • Procrastination
    • Lack of Self Discipline
    • Ineffective Delegation
    • Crisis Management
    • Inability to say NO

    My Next 3 GOALS

Doing something different has always been my way to go. Can’t stop myself at repeating one thing for all the time. Though I was not always able to do so because of social life constrains, this time I want to do it. Want to do something new all the time something that I’m not aware of. Something I always dreamed of. List is long which includes,
     Break dance
     Bungee Jumping
     Shape up my body
     Sky diving
     Judo & Karate
     Swimming
     Tennis
     Learn car driving
 Learn Guitar or any instrument
etc. The list is too long.

Some of these dreams are on halt because of resource constrains (Money, time, place). But I think I can take one at a time. So rather than dreaming those at night I decided to hit the first target. It’s not on the list. But it just arrived fresh.

How about shooting a small movie with my cam? A movie that is interesting, have some moral and is at least bearable. LOL.

So my goals for next 3 months are clear now.
    1. Clear SCJP exam.
    2. Get body in shape (at least reduce my waist It’s 31 right now. Target is 29)
    3. Shoot a movie.

    Best of luck AB.

    Really Simple Goal Setting

My favorite simplicity blog, Unclutterer, recently did a good post on goal-setting software called Lifetick, which is actually pretty cool. But as I was playing around with its nice little interface, I realized that for me, such a program is overkill.
I believe in keeping your goals simple, and if you do that, goal-setting and goal-management doesn’t require software.
In fact, you can do it with a single index card.
The key to simple goal setting is to not have too many goals. In fact, regular readers know that I advocate One Goal when possible. While that’s not always possible for some people, having too many goals makes things complicated and requires a more complicated system for keeping track of your goals.
